Voluntary Action Kennet

We have a membership of over 150 voluntary and community groups. Being a member of VAK does not cost anything but shows support for our work. Membership is not dependant on whether or not a voluntary or community group is receiving a service. We are there to support everyone but some of our support services may cost more to non-members.

The membership has real ownership of Voluntary Action Kennet and are invited for their thoughts before any new service is created. They are asked about their needs before training courses are planned and it is important that they tell us how they think we are doing and when we haven’t done something quite right.

All members are invited to our Annual General Meeting, normally held in October, where they can bring motions for debate and vote on any proposals as well as nominate and elect the Board of Trustees. Our membership as participants are key to the running of the organisation.
