Bookkeeping and Payroll Service

With a growing need for charities to demonstrate good financial management and accountability we are here at VAK to provide free advice and guidance to help your organisation do just that.

Sometimes you may find that your group is faced with a situation where you are unable to maintain adequate bookkeeping or payroll records dues to long-term sickness or maybe a job vacancy waiting to be filled.

We can help you at these times by providing a purchased bookkeeping or payroll service. Our Community Bookkeepers are Philippa Jackson and Lindy Mann, who between them have more than 20 years' experience of finance in the statutory and commercial sectors.

Payroll

Our monthly payroll service charges range from as little as £2 to £4 per person per month.

The initial setup charge is £35 for up to five staff. We will help you every step of the way during the transition period and will work with you to set up a tailor-made timesheet system for providing salary details each month. An additional charge of £5 per person will be added each time a member of staff leaves or joins the payroll.

The monthly charge does depend on work involved based on, for example, tax credit or maternity pay complications that may take longer to process.

VAK will invoice your group every three months for providing this service.

Bookkeeping

We can provide a limited free service for irregular visits, for example, if you wanted a visit to discuss upgrading your current systems.

Sometimes planning a move from manual to computerised spreadsheets or accounts packages could save your organisation a great deal of valuable time and money.

We charge an hourly rate of £25 plus travel for an on-site bookkeeping service after an initial assessment with a written report.

TV/Video - £5 per day (£7.50)

PA System - £15 per day (£17.50)

Digital Camera - £15 per day (17.50)

OHP - £5 per day (£7.50)

Screens (2 different sizes) - £5 per day (£7.50)

Display Boards (various sizes) - £5 per say (£7.50)

Flip Charts - £1 per day (£2.50)

Multi-media Projector - £15 per day (£17.50)
