Voluntary Action Kennet support people living rurally and run social care networks for voluntary groups to network to increase their voice and influence.
Projects include:
The Information Shop which is open Mon to Friday 10am -1pm providing information, advice and guidance for families, residents and visitors to the Pewsey Community Area. Telephone 01672 563832
Pewsey Sure Start Children’s Centre
Extend – exercise classes for older people or those with limited mobility
Pewsey Vale Time Bank – based at the Information Shop. Volunteers offer time to share a skills or provide a ‘service’ like taking someone shopping, odd jobs, helping a child read, transport, offering sewing etc, etc and the volunteer banks the time to request a service for themselves. It is a really opportunity for everyone to participate. Litter picks are also organised as well as supporting residents at Meadow Court. To join contact Joanna on 01672 563832.
